The ongoing world tour for UFC 189’s main event of Jose Aldo defending his featherweight title against Conor McGregor hit Conor’s hometown of Dublin, Ireland earlier today. During the press conference, Aldo declared himself the King of Dublin, saying that it had been raining, but he brought the sun with him.
After that statement, McGregor sprang to his feet, reached across Dana White’s podium and stole Aldo’s belt. A bit of a scuffle ensued, but luckily, no punches were thrown. The title was returned to Aldo and the press conference continued without a hitch, unless you count the numerous drunk Irish fans shouting obscenities at Aldo.
UFC 189, featuring Jose Aldo versus Conor McGregor, will take place in Las Vegas on July 11th. Let’s just hope neither man gets injured between now and then.
