The quarterbacks on the New Orleans Saints roster are well known for their Quarterback Challenges during training camp as they attempt to one-up each other with a bit of friendly competition.
The real fun in watching them is you never know what competitions they will come up with or who is going to show up, as last year Bubba Watson stopped by and actually beat third-stringer Garrett Grayson at a target-throwing competition.
The Saints Instagram page put out a teaser on Sunday of the latest QB challenge, and it features some sort of competition where the QBs must throw a football into a basketball hoop from a great distance. Perhaps unsurprisingly, nine-time Pro-Bowler Drew Brees absolutely nailed his attempt. We’ve already seen Aaron Rodgers show off his crazy accuracy last week, but this throw by Brees might take the cake.
Unfortunately for the Saints’ starting quarterback, that shot might actually be the highlight of his camp so far, as he told reporters that his Saturday practice may have been his roughest training camp practice “maybe ever,” and that’s saying something since this is the former Purdue star’s 16th NFL season.
