By now, you’ve likely seen the video of Eli Manning at the Super Bowl. The Giants’ quarterback was sitting up in a booth with the rest of the Manning family watching what could have been Peyton’s final game, but when the Broncos scored the touchdown that seemingly put the win on ice, Eli could only look on with a face of disgust while the rest of the Manning clan cheered and celebrated.
Now, Eli finally had a chance to explain what was going through his head at that moment. TMZ caught up with him Monday afternoon and, as Eli put it, he wasn’t upset that his brother was about to tie his Super Bowl win total, but instead he was focused on the rest of the game and whether Denver was about to go for two that would put them up by 14.
“I was just focused on whether they were going for two, and knew the defense had to step up and make some stops.
Sure, Eli. Whatever you say.
TMZ also asked Manning if he liked the fact that his face has been inevitably turned into a meme.
“Uh, yeah. It’s all good stuff.”
Something tells me Eli Manning has no idea what a meme is.
