Uber is a tremendously convenient service, but a ride in an Uber car can also turn into a complete disaster. We’ve seen several Uber horror stories in the past — drivers putting fake vomit in their cars, drivers tricking customers into paying more, the company accidentally billing someone 12 grand, and drivers trying to rob people after they drop them off.
Fox Sports reporter Kristine Leahy is now the latest victim of an unfortunate Uber incident and she tweeted out her horrifying story on Friday morning. According to Leahy, she once left her keys in an Uber three months ago and still has not gotten them back after all this time. As Leahy tells it, she first couldn’t get in contact with anyone, and when she finally did, she gave them her address so they could send the keys to her. They never came, and because Leahy didn’t pick up the keys in the first 45 days of them being there, the company has since moved them to an unknown location. After all this time, she still hasn’t gotten the keys to her apartment back.
Used to love @Uber but their lack of customer support and responsibility is scary. One driver tried to break in… pic.twitter.com/cucnGcRokd

On top of all of that, Leahy says that she previously had an Uber driver attempt to break into her home after dropping her off at the airport, and when she complained, she got no response. It’s bad enough to lose track of someone’s keys and not send it to them, but ignoring a complaint about a potential break in is even worse.
Uber Support has responded to Leahy’s tweet, but the damage has already been done.
So sorry for the trouble. We see that we've been in contact via email. A member of our team will be following up shortly.

I guess the moral of the story is if you ever want to see it again, don’t lose anything in an Uber car.
