Before we get into Herm Edwards’ insane rant on NFL Live, some background on the subject at hand. This week the Bills are playing the Eagles in Philly. You might recall that LeSean McCoy played several seasons there and left because Chip Kelly didn’t feel like he fit the system (or something like that). McCoy still harbors ill will toward Kelly and on Wednesday he addressed whether or not he he would shake his hand after the game.
“Listen, man, Chip can’t shake s— at all. Nothing. He knows this,” McCoy told a large group of reporters at his locker. “That’s why [he] said it. I know him. He’s very intelligent. I can read between the lines. Like I said, I have nothing against him, no hatred. We’re not enemies. I won’t say anything wrong to him. But there’s nothing for us to talk about, at all. Simple as that.”
Add on recent reports that Eagles RB DeMarco Murray might also have some issues with Chip Kelly and yeah, you can kinda see where this is headed. The whole thing is very soap opera-ish and of course perfect for a show like NFL Live, where people scream at the camera for no goddamn reason.
Cue Herm Edwards going crazy:
Listen, it’s hard to agree with Herm Edwards on almost anything but he has a point here. This is all very, very stupid.
