Charles Barkley’s gambling prowess is well documented. Over the years, there’s been wild stories of multi-million dollar losses at casinos in Vegas. Some wondered if Chuck had a serious gambling addiction.
In an interview with Campus Insider’s Seth Davis, Barkley details some of what happened during his gambling heyday, including what he calls almost a $30 million loss.
“I was gambling for too much money.”
“I went to Vegas a bunch of times and won a million dollars. Probably 10 times. But I’ve also went to Vegas and lost a million probably three times as much.”
“I just learned to do it in moderation.”
A two-year hiatus is pretty good for somebody who was gambling several million dollars away. So maybe Chuck wasn’t a gambling addict all along. Maybe, just maybe, he was just very stupid with money.
