Bryce Petty seems like a perfectly fine gentleman who is good at throwing footballs, which explains why the New York Jets took him in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft and signed him to a four-year contract. Petty is also from Georgia and went to college in Texas, so he’s making a big transition going from the South to the Big Apple.
This was obvious on Thursday, when Petty – who is in the pizza capital of the world – made the decision to send out a tweet about how fond he is of Domino’s.
The fact that you can order @dominos by texting a pizza emoji is awesome… #welldoneMrDominoWellDone

This, of course, is unforgivable in the eyes of New Yorkers. For proof, he are some replies to his tweet:
@b_petty14 Go to Nutley, 3miles from MetLife. Try Rocky's & Ralph's Pizza both on Franklin Ave & Queen MargheritaTrattoria on Washington Ave

@b_petty14 Jesus has placed you among the finest pizzerias in the country yet you choose dominos? Why do you reject His Love? Open ur heart

In Petty’s defense, ordering a pizza can be a bit of a pain, so the fact that you can tweet an emoji at Domino’s and order a pie is kind of dope. Still, as Jon Stewart pointed out time and time again, New York City has the best pizza joints on earth, so ordering from a Domino’s – or, for that matter, a Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, Sbarro, or any other chain that has a location in NYC – is never going to go over well.
Ultimately, Petty realized that he inadvertently made a lot of people in the tri-state area mad, so he tweeted out an apology and wanted to know where he should go to get really good pizza.
I apologize for stirring up the pizza community for my recent comment. CLEARLY I have some pizza to eat, suggestions are accepted
