Thursday night should have been a great one for Laremy Tunsil. The offensive tackle out of Ole Miss was expected to be one of the top players taken in the NFL Draft, but things got a little complicated when a video of someone appearing to be Tunsil smoking an unknown substance out of a gas mask appeared on his Twitter account just prior to the start of the draft.
Tunsil began to slide in the first round, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter suggested that it was because of Tunsil’s red flags off the field — including an arrest for domestic violence. Suzy Kolber spoke to Tunsil’s agent, who said that NFL teams were made aware of the video.
You can check out the video, which was quickly deleted after being posted to Tunsil’s account, below:
Tunsil’s agent says his client doesn’t deny that it’s him in the video, but also says it wasn’t taken recently and that the account was likely hacked. Ultimately, Tunsil was taken with the 13th pick in the first round by the Miami Dolphins.
