This video of Japanese announcers losing their minds during a recent truck race wreck at Talladega hit Live Leak the other week and it has been slowly making the rounds, as several people have sent it to me with varying messages along the lines of “Burnsy, you love foreign people screaming and NASCAR so you’ll love this.” Correct, I did love this video when I first saw it, and I couldn’t wait to share it with everyone.
Alas, as commenter “besweeeet3” pointed out, he’s the person who originally uploaded this video to YouTube and it’s fake. He just dubbed the Japanese announcers over the wreck because he thought it would be funny, and while he was right, I’m now sad because I want Japanese announcers to actually call NASCAR races like this. Seriously, if Fox Sports 1 would show the race and Fox Sports 2 had the same race with these announcers, I’d watch FS2 every time.
World Series Game 6: Cardinals at Red Sox – 7:30 PM ET on Fox
My hopes are all but dashed at this point, and I know that’s a shitty thing to say as a Cardinals fan, but winning the last two games in Boston? I’m a pretty realistic guy. That said, if Michael Wacha pulls off the win tonight, the Cards need to lock him up for 10 years ASAP. You know, after they monitor him for a few months to make sure he doesn’t Ankiel.
