This is completely unrelated to sports, but if you’ve listened to any of my few appearances on the FilmDrunk Frotcast or follow me on Twitter, you’ll know I’m a sucker for interesting songs. I’m also a fan of mid-90s alternative rock (and a guilty pleasure fan of late 90s/early 00s cock rock), so when I listened to this cover of the rock band Seether performing the Veruca Salt hit “Seether,” I squealed with delight. Look, I know it’s terrible, but sometimes things can be so terrible that they are, in fact, awesome.
No, you shut up.

ALCS Game 5: Red Sox at Tigers – 7:30 PM ET on Fox
Thank God the Cardinals aren’t playing tonight, right baseball fans that are tired of a team that wins a lot? They should be contracted and their fans should be sent to live in FEMA camps run by angry sharks.
Thursday Night Football: Seahawks at Cardinals – 8:25 PM ET on NFL Network
A lot of people have been freaking out over the NFL’s desire to add a second game to the Thursday night schedule so that it can continue to build on the mild success of the current scheduling and help sell the rights to another network and earn the league another $100 billion so Roger Goodell can double his $30 million salary. But I don’t see what the big problem is, other than forcing twice as many players to play on four days rest and risk further injury with the already underwhelming lack of time necessary to recover from the simple bumps and bruises. Haha, people love to complain!
NCAA Football: Miami at UNC – 7:30 PM ET on ESPN
This seems like the kind of game with fans that would appreciate a Seether song as the background music.
NBA Preseason: Heat at Nets – 8 PM ET on TNT
We will have plenty of time to watch the Miami Heat win another title when the actual NBA season begins. We do not need to watch them practice in the preseason, TNT.
