Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy may be in some hot water after being accused of allegedly assaulting two off-duty police officers in Philadelphia early Monday morning.
According to Action News, the incident happened at the Recess Lounge in Old City at around 2:30 a.m. and both officers were taken to the hospital as a result of the incident, but no arrests were initially made.
It was there that McCoy, and a friend, were involved in a physical altercation with the two officers, sources said.
Sources also say that while McCoy and his friend were not arrested, they are the focus of the investigation.
A police report was made at the time the incident took place, those sources added.
McCoy, of course, played in Philadelphia for six seasons, making four Pro Bowls with the Eagles before being traded to the Bills last season, where he had his least productive year since 2012, rushing for only 895 yards in 12 games with three touchdowns.
McCoy also had an infamous breakup with the Eagles as he called out former coach Chip Kelly for alleged racism after being traded, and then refused to talk to him when Kelly called to attempt to smooth things over.
Action News reported that they have reached out to McCoy’s agent for a comment, but as of now there is no word on the alleged assault from his camp.
