Martyn Ford is a large man. He is a very large, scary man with tattoos covering his entire body. Twelve years ago, Ford (also known as “Nightmare”) began his transformation, going from a runner with 4 percent body fat to a real-life Hulk, a 6-foot-8 behemoth weighing 325 pounds.
In an interview with UK-based site LAD Bible, Ford talked about the genesis of it all, and how a failed dream as a cricketer kick-started the whole thing.
I never really had a goal as such, I just wanted to be bigger. Twelve years on, I seem to be that for sure, but there’s still more to achieve with my physique. The initial transformation I would say took two to three years. You were definitely looking at two different people then, for sure.
Ford’s Instagram page is chock-full of workout pics, but this one in particular gives you an idea of his before-and-after (10 years ago).
Unsurprisingly, Ford wants to be an actor. Because, you know, he needs a job to pay for those massive grocery bills (seriously, what’s that guy eating?). Also, he just looks like someone who should be in superhero movies. In fact, call me crazy, he kinda resembles Dave Bautista in Guardians of the Galaxy (except a lot more swole).
Ford hasn’t gotten his big break yet, but it’s only a matter of time.
