Imagine the best fight that you have ever seen. Now, imagine the exact opposite of that. Congratulations, you have officially imagine the NASCAR Truck Series fight between John Wes Townley and Spencer Gallagher.
This is awful. They made Kimbo Slice vs. Dada 5000 look like the kind of fight that you’d spend $50+ to watch on pay per view. Townley kind of sort of not really hits Gallagher with something that looks like a DDT, but the two get up and Townley just holds Gallagher in a headlock for a little. Gallagher is literally standing there with his left hand on his hip as if he’s saying “I can’t believe something this dumb is happening right now.”
And then Townley starts busting out his version of haymakers. He looks like he lands a few of these, but Gallagher doesn’t even feel like he needs to get his hand up to defend himself. Instead, Gallagher grabs Townley’s arm and holds it down, because Townley is way more into this fight than Gallagher. The pair eventually get broken up, much to the chagrin of all of us who wanted to see how long they could continue to do basically nothing.
This fight is like watching two first graders fight over who gets the last carton of chocolate milk during lunch. We really need to send Jose Bautista and Rougned Odor to the NASCAR Truck Series so they can teach racers what a fight is supposed to look like.
