Game 4 of the Predators and Sharks series may have been the craziest game of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. It was most definitely the longest.
After an insane amount of back-and-forth action, Mike Fisher eventually got the clincher for the Preds in triple-overtime, scoring his second goal of the game (nearly 100 minutes after his first) following a Martin Jones rebound. As you’d imagine, Fisher’s goal sent the hometown crowd — and his teammates — into an absolute frenzy.
It’s important to notice the two Predators skaters who literally just fell out of the bench in perfect harmony after the goal. It’s hard to blame them after a 111 minute game, to be honest.
Not only was the victory a thrilling one for for Nashville, it was also incredibly important to keeping their playoff hopes alive. The big win evened the series at two games apiece as the teams head back to California for Game 5.
