The Charleston Southern Buccaneers are ranked ninth in the FCS, sit in first place in the Big South at 9-1, and are having a very nice season behind senior quarterback Austin Brown, a transfer from UAB. Unfortunately for CSU, they have to play Alabama this Saturday in Tuscaloosa where the Tide are favored by 38 points.
Most would assume this will be a cakewalk for Nick Saban’s squad, a virtually off week before the annual Iron Bowl against Auburn next weekend. But Saban wants to hear none of that. Here he is in his weekly press conference on Wednesday — when asked about CSU and their quarterback, he devolves into a rant about the time Georgia Southern “ran through our ass like sh*t through a tin horn.” Enjoy:
The game he’s referencing was in 2011. Georgia Southern did rush for more than 300 yards. They also lost to the Crimson Tide 45-21. So good luck, Bucs, and know that Saban isn’t going to be satisfied beating you by a mere three touchdowns.
