What’s remarkable about this so-called news involving John Daly at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters is that not only do we get to talk about his zany pants, but he’s also still in the hunt on the leaderboard. At the end of the second round of action in Doha, Rafa Cabrera-Bello currently holds a 2-stroke lead (-13) over George Coetzee (-11) for the top spot. Behind them, three men are tied at -10 and four other are hanging on at -9. But none of those jerks matter, because Daly is currently tied for 10th at -8, and if he can somehow find his groove and an edge over the final rounds, he could actually break his 10-year winless funk.
So what can we attribute Daly’s sudden awesome performance to? It has to be the SpongeBob SquarePants that we was sporting during Tuesday’s Pro-Am event.
Daly was paired with Scotland’s national football team manager Gordon Strachan, who busted out one hell of a move that I’ll here on out refer to as the Glasgow Strut.
But this is a post about sports fashion, so let’s focus on the pants themselves. ENHANCE!
Still not good enough. I need 100% SpongeBob visual confirmation. ENHANCE TO JOHN DALY CROTCH SHOT!
Strap on your galoshes, folks, because I’m pretty sure the women just flooded the room.
