Watch This Padres Grounds Crew Member Climb The Netting To Save A Broken Bat

When Melvin Upton disrupted Chris Heston’s no-hit bid in the bottom of the sixth inning, a large piece of his bat flew into the netting behind him. Flying bats are becoming a mainstay in baseball these days, but the netting was there to protect the crowd. The bat was too high to reach, but a hero from the Padres grounds crew scaled the netting like Spiderman and brought the bat back down safely.
