The Patriots Had A Grand Old Time Singing Karaoke After The Eagles Loss

After looking like the most unbeatable team in the NFL through the first 11 weeks, the New England Patriots are reeling. They’ve lost two games in a row, most recently to the lowly Philadelphia Eagles, and they are all kinds of banged up on offense. So when your spirits are low and you need a pick-me-up, where do you turn? Why, to the ancient art of karaoke, of course.

On Monday night, Pats defensive back Patrick Chung and his charity hosted a fundraising dinner, during which a bunch of Chung’s teammates sang their hearts out, and poorly. This is tight end Scott Chandler performing Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood”:

He starts out okay, but he falls into the classic trap of choosing songs for karaoke: He forgot about the bridge! Everyone knows the chorus to so many songs, but in order to perform one, you’ve got to remember that bridge or you’re going to be uncomfortably mumbling for 30-45 seconds. And if you’re wondering if any of the Patriots were better, Chung confirms: “We all sucked.”

But it wasn’t all bad, because Chung brought in a ringer to compensate for all the atonal howling. Below is a snippet of the guest performance from Boston-based singer Louie Bello, who really saved the night with his pipes:
