The first score of the day in the Pitt/Georgia Tech game was, predictably, a throwback screen to an offensive lineman.
Tackle Brian O’Neill took a throwback screen pass from Nathan Peterman behind the line of scrimmage. With plenty of room to run the big guy took off, picking up blockers and rumbling down the sideline for a 24-yard score to give the Panthers the early lead. You know what it means when a guy wearing number 70 scores a touchdown, right? Oh yes. Fat guy touchdown!
To be fair, O’Neill was a star tight end in high school when he came to college. He actually who moved to the offensive line after his redshirt freshman season. But come on: this is a 6-foot-6, 300-pound fella turning on the jets to find the end zone on a screen pass.
Twitter, of course, was thrilled.

Even Pitt’s football account wasn’t ready for the Large Fella Touchdown.
TOUCHDOWN: #Pitt opens with a great 75-yard scoring drive to lead 7-0.
P.S. (We admit it. We didn't have a Brian O'Neill graphic ready). pic.twitter.com/66ENrP8DoI

They later bounced back with a quick photo gallery of the score. Look at the joy in these images. His fellow offensive lineman are so excited for him.

And they should be: they put in work, too. Check out the convoy helping O’Neill get into the end zone!
