Las Vegas acrobat and stuntman Jesus “Half Animal” Villa attempted to add to his collection of world records earlier this year when he tried jumping, headfirst, through ten consecutive panes of tempered glass. It didn’t go so well.
The former Cirque du Soleil performer was stonewalled by the very first pane of glass he launched himself into, and fell to the ground with multiple fractures in his neck. Here’s a video of the incident, which is kind of hilarious:
Now he’s trying to raise money to pay his medical expenses and, of course, fund “the ultimate comeback.” If that sounds like a terrible cause to filter your money into, that’s because it is. But Villa’s proposed comeback isn’t without precedent. According to Mail Online, he had his left hip replaced in 2010, only to come back and set two world records in 2012: “longest flip over a vehicle” and “18 front flips on spring-loaded stilts.” So this is, like, what he does, man.
So far, Villa has raised $6,000 of his $10,000 goal.
