The Seahawks and Panthers was, to many, the most anticipated game of the weekend. The two teams had a classic in Week 6, and the Seahawks eliminated the Panthers in the postseason a year ago en route to a NFC championship title. Plus, Carolina is still looking to prove the doubters wrong despite their 15-1 record and, as a famous North Carolinian once said, “in order to be the man, you gotta beat the man!”
While the Panthers certainly came ready to play, the Seahawks….did not do that. After Jonathan Stewart ripped off a 59-yard-gain that set up a touchdown (after which he made a little girl’s day) and a Luke Kuechly pick-six, the Panthers took an immediate 14-0 lead early. By halftime, the divisional round matchup was already a complete laughter.
Unsurprisingly, the internet had some reactions to the first half blow out.

Seattle still has a whole half to try and mount a comeback, but being shut out, having two ugly turnovers, and giving up four touchdowns in the first half is not inspiring any sort of confidence.
