These Baseball Teams Went All Out For May The Fourth With Custom ‘Star Wars’ Jerseys

As you have almost definitely heard someone say, today is Star Wars day. Every year on May 4, a bunch of people go around dropping “May the Fourth” jokes. A number of minor league baseball teams decided to go even further.

A bunch of minor league squads announced that they will bust out special Star Wars jerseys sometime this season. If you’re a fan of the famous movie series, you’re going to like these. Even if you’re not a huge Star Wars fan, odds are you’ll appreciate these, because they’re all pretty great.

Northwest Arkansas Naturals

Potomac Nationals

Reading Fightin Phils

South Bend Cubs

Tacoma Rainiers

It looks like most of these are going to be up for auction, and proceeds will go to various charities. I used to intern for a minor league team, so if you go to one of these games and decide to bid, remember that you have to be in the bidding area during the last half inning that bidding is open. Leaving and expecting that you’re going to win is a rookie move and very well could cost you the jersey you so desire.

All of these are pretty great, especially the Potomac Nationals, as theirs have so much going on. Plus I am fairly sure that these are the only baseball jerseys to ever prominently feature Harrison Ford – look at him lounging around at the Mos Eisley Cantina on the back of an article of clothing that a baseball team is going to wear in a game.
