UFC 200 is now under a week away, so it’s time to get seriously hyped for one of the biggest cards of the year. The latest promotional video from the UFC focuses on some massive finishes from fighters on the card, and there’s a lot of violence packed into these six minutes.
There’s classic knockouts from Frankie Edgar, Jose Aldo, and Cain Velasquez, while Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones show you how violent submissions can be as finishers. Brock Lesnar is in there at the end knocking out Randy Couture, but it’s hard to watch his ground and pound and imagine it working against the stone skull of Super Samoan Mark Hunt. As for Hunt, he’s nowhere to be found here, which is surprising considering he’s the undisputed king of the walk away knockout.
UFC 200 goes down this Saturday July 9th, but that’s hardly the only UFC action happening over the week. Things kick off on Thursday with the 155 pound belt up for grabs as Eddie Alvaraz challenges champ Rafael Dos Anjos. On Friday, it’s The Ultimate Fighter Finale featuring 115 pound women’s champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk against powerhouse Claudia Gadelha. And then it’s UFC 200. What a week for fight fans!
