Hello, fight fans. I hope you’re ready for some punching, because we’ve got another double-shot weekend. There’s a few titles at stake, too, which is always fun.
FRIDAY
Invicta is back in Kansas City with a pair of title bouts. The entire card will be available on Fight Pass starting at 8 p.m. ET. Irene Aldana is back in the cage, taking on Faith Van Duin in bantamweight action. The co-main event is an atomweight title fight between champ Ayaka Hamasaki and Jinh Yu Frey. The main event is a quasi-title fight as interim flyweight champion Jennifer Maia defends her title against Roxanne Modafferi.
SATURDAY
UFC heads back to Brazil with a card that’s living tissue over a metal endoskeleton. Early prelims are on Fight Pass at 6:30 p.m. ET, while the regular prelims will be on Fox Sports 1 starting at 8 p.m. ET. One promising bout on the prelims is a flyweight bout between #3 Jussier Formiga and #12 Dustin Ortiz. That should be fun, fun, and also fun.
The main card starts at 10 p.m. ET on FS1. We’ve got heavyweights as top fifteen fighters Roy “Big Country” Nelson and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva throw down. There’s also former bantamweight kingpin Renan Barao facing Phillipe Nover in featherweight action. In the main event, Invicta featherweight champ, Cris “Cyborg” Justino faces Lina Lansberg in a 140 pound catchweight bout.
