The American soccer heroes of the U.S. Women’s National Team got their coronation on Friday in New York City, where a ticker tape parade was thrown in their honor. It was the first parade down the Canyon of Heroes for anybody who isn’t the Yankees or Giants since 1999, and the first for women in 55 years, according to ESPN. I think it’s safe to say the women had a (deservedly) good time.

The DJ at City Hall yelled, "Who run the world?" And the crowd yelled back, "USA!" So the DJ had to remind people to say "girls."
