In the most impressive grouping of Boston sports icons since Kevin McHale visited Sam Malone at Cheers, Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady and Hall of Fame Red Sox hurler Pedro Martinez met in the Fenway Park indoor cages for a little batting practice session. This came after Brady threw out the first pitch before the Red Sox home opener.
Not surprisingly, the Super Bowl MVP, who was an MLB prospect in college, does seem to be able to handle himself in the batter’s box, lining a few soft tosses with authority. Although he probably still made the right career choice by picking football over baseball.
