After his first round KO over former Strikeforce middleweight champ Luke Rockhold at UFC on FX 8, Vitor Belfort was questioned by MMA journalist John Morgan about his use of the controversial testosterone-replacement therapy and he responded by asking, “Can somebody beat him up for me, please?” You know, because he’s a 36-year old professional athlete and adult who gets better with age, so obviously he acts like it, too.
But somewhere between Sunday night and yesterday, someone took a moment to explain to Belfort how he came across like a total d*ckhead – unless you think that Morgan was the a-hole for asking about TRT right after Belfort’s win – and the No. 2-ranked contender for the UFC Middleweight belt issued a very sincere-yet-sloppy apology on Twitter.
To all my fans and to all the reporters that was there on the after press conference I would like to ask for forgiveness the way I answer about TRT I RECOGNIZE THAT I ANWSER IN A IMMATURE WAY BUT WAS THE 10 th time that that reporter ask the same question. No excuse!! I made a WORNG call and I am here to ask for forgiveness God bless all you guys love to do what I do and I am keeping moving UP SEEKING GROW AS A MEN OF GOD AND AS A FIGHTER “DONT DOUT ME I WILL PROUVE U WORNG” PEACE
Okay, quick pointer – even if you’re issuing an apology on Twitter, which is ranked like 20th on the list of acceptable forums through which to issue an apology, it doesn’t help your case that you’re not a juiced up freak show who uses hormone therapy as some sort of Fountain of Youth by typing every other sentence in all caps.
