This afternoon, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell took the podium in Glendale, Arizona for his annual “state of the league” address. At one point, he was asked about a conflict of interest in hiring an outside investigator like Ted Wells, who has ties to the NFL, to handle the DeflateGate issue. It’s a fair question. It’s hard-hitting, it’s topical and it’s a legitimate concern for an organization that’s run on the good ol’ boy network for years.
So of course Roger dismissed it with shade.
Go home Roger, you’re drunk on power.
