Just because Ronda Rousey is already an Olympic bronze medalist in Judo doesn’t mean she’s slacking on training the “gentle way.” Here she is working mad throws with Pauline Macias, a fellow judoka transitioning into MMA. Is this the start of the invasion of the judo women?
One thing is for sure: Bethe Correia better do her best to make sure Ronda doesn’t get a hold of her, or she’s going for a trip. Or a throw. Or a trip to a throw with an armbar mixed in the middle somewhere for complete domination. Even though she’s one of Ronda’s toughest opponents, she’s still a +800 underdog that no one is giving much of a chance.
So far, that doesn’t seem to be killing any of the anticipation for Ronda Rousey’s next fight. Right now, Rousey is in her Iron Mike phase where people are tuning in to see how destructive she’ll be in the cage. Even her 14-second finishes are more exciting than many of the three-round slugfests going down in UFC these days. Who doesn’t want to see someone get brutally judo thrown like a rag doll by the baddest woman on the planet?
