Well, it’s finally come to this. After Dana White joked about pitting undefeated UFC bantamweight champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey against male fighters due to her overwhelming dominance, online sportsbook Bovada has released odds for Rousey to take on a man by the end of 2016.

That’s pretty insane, so let’s take a closer look at the actual line:
“Must be sanctioned by Athletic Commision [sic] for wager to be a winner.”
That’s where they get you! You won’t find an athletic commission in the United States that will allow an intergender prizefight to go down, not even Alabama, which allowed quad-amputee Kyle Maynard to fight.
With all of the US out of the picture, where could a potential Rousey vs Some Dude fight take place?
Brazil
There’s potential here, after all, Ediane Gomes took on a guy in a bare knuckle vale tudo fight in Brazil
Russia
Russia flat-out doesn’t care, especially when it comes to combat sports. They let tornado tag team elimination MMA fights go on, so I can’t imagine them being too picky about sanctioning a man fighting a woman.
International Waters
A by-product of MMA twitter getting upset at drug-addled fighters not being allowed to compete in enhanced states, Barge Fighting Championship is the premier combat sports organization based on sailing a garbage barge out to international waters where anything is legal. It is currently in the developmental stage, but should BFC ever go live, Rousey taking on a guy is a guaranteed main event (monkey knife fights are the co-main event, of course).
