The show was headlined by a tables, ladder and chairs match (appropriately) between John Cena and Randy Orton for both the World Heavyweight and WWE Championships. Spoiler alert: that thing you thought was gonna happen didn’t happen. Whoops!
WWE TLC 2013 results:
– Pre-show Match: Fandango defeated Dolph Ziggler. Fandango pinned Ziggler after a top-rope leg drop.
1. 3-On-1 Handicap Match: CM Punk defeated The Shield. Roman Reigns accidentally speared Dean Ambrose, allowing Punk to get the pin.
2. Divas Championship Match: AJ Lee © defeated Natalya. AJ reversed a sharpshooter attempt into a roll-up to get the three count.
3. Intercontinental Championship: Big E Langston © defeated Damien Sandow. Langston retained the title after a Big Ending on Sandow.
4. Fatal Fourway for the WWE Tag Team Championships: Cody Rhodes and Goldust © defeated Big Show and Rey Mysterio, The Real Americans, and Curtis Axel and Ryback. Rhodes pinned Mysterio after Cross Rhodes to retain the tag straps.
5. R-Truth defeated Brodus Clay. Brodus Clay got verbally aggressive to both Tensai and the Funkadactyls, causing them to walk out on him. As he was distracted, R-Truth rolled him up for the win.
6. No Disqualification Match: Kofi Kingston defeated The Miz. Kingston won with Trouble in Paradise after Miz’s head hit an exposed turnbuckle.
7. 3-On-1 Handicap Match: The Wyatt Family defeated Daniel Bryan. Bray Wyatt won the match for his team after a Sister Abigail on Bryan.
8. TLC Match For the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships: Randy Orton defeated John Cena. Cena was handcuffed to the bottom rope, but disassembled the turnbuckle to allow him to move around the ring. Orton pulled Cena off the ladder, causing Cena to crash into a table, then climbed up and retrieved the titles to become the new unified champion.
