Based on an Australian series of the same name, NBC’s The Slap, which premieres on February 12th, is about Spock hitting a baseball bat-swinging child after the tyke kicks him in the leg. Also, Uma Thurman, Peter Sarsgaard, and Alias-ruiner Melissa George are there. In a recently-released trailer, NBC hyped network TV’s answer to this GIF by asking, “Whose side are you on?” because who says slapping a kid can’t be turned into a promotional tagline.
No one’s seen an episode yet, but everyone already has an opinion.
