We are all riding on a collective wave of endless heartbreak that is showing no signs of stopping. On the heels of the Ben Affleck-Jennifer Garner, Blake Shelton-Miranda Lambert, and Gavin Rossdale-Gwen Stefani breakups and the Will Smith-Jada Pinkett non-breakup, Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog have revealed that their on-again-off-again relationship is off again and that they, too, have broken up. It’s very on-trend, but don’t they know what they’re doing to us?
Wile the now-estranged pair were promoting ABC’s The Muppets at the TCA press tour, the breakup was confirmed on Twitter because Miss Piggy has an official Twitter account, as does Kermit:

I dunno, you guys. I don’t hold out much hope for love anymore, but the on-set tension is probably going to prove irresistible for these two. They always seem to find a way to get back together. I’m thinking this has to be… a publicity stunt. And it’s a really rude publicity stunt because it is messing with multiple hearts. Gardens, parades, rush-hour traffic crowds of hearts.
