AMC Renewed ‘Better Call Saul’ For Another Season Of Law Offices and Small Cons

With the second season of the critically acclaimed Breaking Bad spinoff just about halfway through, AMC has renewed Better Call Saul for a third season. No word yet on whether the full cast is returning in their same capacities or if there will be a shakeup, but the show will at least be back to continue telling the story of Jimmy McGill’s transformation. Loyal viewers know he’s gone from a white collar lawyer who sometimes colors outside the lines to a criminal lawyer who’s thrown out the proverbial coloring book and started graffitiing all over Albuquerque. Showrunners Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan are returning for a third go-round, and seeing as the audience knows Saul Goodman and Mike Ehrmantraut are still alive six years in the show’s future (when Breaking Bad kicks off), it’s a pretty good bet they’ll still be front and center in the next season as well.

But what of Rhea Seehorn’s dutiful litigator Kim Wexler, who just got a great spotlight episode? Or Jimmy’s overbearing brother Chuck, his sometimes-nemesis Howard, or the annoying second-year associate currently following him around like a puppy? Not hide nor hair of any of these other players are seen in the future Albuquerque where “Saul” makes a quick dollar defending criminals and drug dealers. Fans will have to keep watching to find out, and hopefully, they’ll receive even more details about the corruption of the Sandpiper nursing home and the everyday goings on of a bank that puts a picture of a cowboy and horse on their savings book covers.
