Shocking news out of Hollywood today, as Uproxx sources have learned that Katey Sagal is Kaley Cuoco’s mom. Ahhh. I see my mistake here. Turns out Katey Sagal will be playing Kaley Cuoco’s mom on the next season of Big Bang Theory. Wow. I mean, this is still a nice story, I guess. Especially since Sagal also played Cuoco’s mom on 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. But that other one would have really been something. Can you imagine? How would they even have kept it from us that long? Wigs, probably. Anyway.
Sagal will appear in the tenth season’s premiere as Susan, who is described as “stressed out and neurotic from a life with her troubled son.” And that troubled son — “Randall, a cheerful former drug dealer and ex-con” — will be played by 30 Rock alum Jack McBrayer. All of which raises as important question: Would you buy drugs from Jack McBrayer?
