Drummer Questlove and guitarist “Captain” Kirk Douglas of The Roots teamed up on tonight’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon for a surprise acoustic cover of Katy Perry’s now-ubiquitous new single “Roar.”
This isn’t the first time Black Simon & Garfunkel have performed on Fallon, not by a long shot. They’ve been on several times, performing Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” and a One Direction song amongst others. So, why not a full-length album? If a band like Nouvelle Vague and Beatallica can make a living making cover albums, why not Black Simon & Garfunkel?
