James Corden Has His Next ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Victims Lined Up

Every late-night host has to find their viral thing. Jimmy Kimmel has Mean Tweets (among others), Jimmy Fallon has History of Rap, and James Corden has struck gold with Carpool Karaoke. Apparently people really love envisioning what it would be like to shuffle to work everyday with a superstar riding shotgun, so the bit has become an unstoppable behemoth. Adele was one of Corden’s first guests, and that video went on to be the most viral late-night clip in years. While many (myself included) miss the wit of Craig Ferguson, there is no doubt that Corden has broadened the mass appeal of The Late Late Show. The formula works.

Following in the footsteps of Justin Bieber, Sia, Elton John, and Mariah Carey, Demi Lovato and Nick Jones have signed on to take a carpool ride with Corden. The segment was shot yesterday, before the duo kicks off their North American tour in June. No word yet on when the segment will air, but it’s safe to assume that it’ll be sometime this summer. Lovato sometimes gets dismissed as a singer due to her Disney background, so it will be fun to see her show off her impressive pipes in Corden’s car.
