I am very pleased to announce that we have a new inductee into the A.J. Clemente Wing of the Local News Hall of Fame: Detroit reporter Lauren Podell, who started her morning today by struggling with her earpiece and accidentally shouting “I can’t get this f*cking in there!” into a live microphone on the news at 6:30 a.m.
While the loud off-camera obscenity is going to get most of the attention here, rightfully so, I’d like to take a second to recognize the anchor on the left, who doesn’t break stride for a single second before issuing an apology to the viewers at home. Total professional. Clearly a man who knows a thing or two about f*cking that chicken. Like all great newsmen.
