Losing weight for most people is tantamount to a brisk water-boarding session. The non-stop cravings and exclusion of anything tasty that comes in a grease-soaked sack is enough to drive most to near insanity. So it’s refreshing to see former roly-poly Adam Richman fight his caloric urges and lose some pudge. According to the Sunday Morning Herald, he’s still doing quite well at keeping the pounds off.

“I’ve been vegan for the past three months,” says the 40 year old who has lost nearly 30 kilograms on his new regime.

Now to those of us hard-drinkin’, gun-totin’ ‘MERICANS that use the standard system, 30 kilos is about 66lbs. But don’t let the loss of jiggle fool you, Adam still has his indulgences:

“I’ve been vegan for the past three months or so,” he says. “Now does that mean I’m not going to have a steak? No I absolutely will when I want to, but it’s just about picking and choosing my spots, and when I want to have that cow and I wanna have that bacon, I’m going to make it count, I’m going to make it great quality.”

Adam seems to look pretty healthy with his weight loss, unlike that one 30-second period when Jonah Hill lost some girth and ended up looking like a ghoul. Some people have gotta stay fat.
