'Game of Thrones' Fans Go Crazy with LEGO Intro and Westeros Beer Labels

I have no idea what fan artists get in return for their countless hours of effort. I’ve always wondered about these people, fans who create poster art, LEGO art, and viral videos. I’m convinced that there are only five people on the entire Internet who know how to make GIFs. What do they get in return? Not nearly enough for their efforts. A link to their tumblr account and maybe a small bit of satisfaction? Unfortunately, there are no checks attached to our undying gratitude, only an appreciative audience. For instance, a YouTuber, bymatthewP must have spent, I dunno, 48 man-hours AT LEAST making this two minute video, recreating the “Game of Thrones” intro with Legos. It’s very cool, but what does bymatthewP get? We don’t even know his real name. At least the guy who created the Westeros beer labels has a redbubble account, although this guy goes by Satansbrand. He’s probably an accountant or something in the UK who doesn’t want his employer to know that he spends half his work-day photoshopping beer can labels. They are bad-ass, though.

Check out the LEGO introduction, and the neat-O beer can labels, and let us all give props to the thankless Titans of the Internet, who fuel blogs like this in exchange only for the satisfaction of knowing that others appreciate their work. You’re all heroes in my book.
