Now that you’ve finished binge-watching Luke Cage, you’re probably wondering when Marvel and Netflix will get their act together and finish their next series, Iron Fist. We’ve seen a teaser, evidence for a possible appearance by Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/Punisher from Daredevil season two, and other morsels of information, but what about an official release date? When will our addiction to these pre-The Defenders entries be satisfied by Danny Rand’s (Finn Jones) K’un L’un-derived skills in intense meditation and overall badassery?
According to the short teaser above, Netflix will dump all 13 episodes of Iron Fist‘s first season on Friday, March 17, 2017. Hence why, when the clock strikes 12:01 a.m. PT (3:01 a.m. ET) that day, bosses across the country will receive last-minute emails, texts, and voice messages from employees with a sudden case of, erm, whatever illness they can come up with at that point.
In addition to the March 17 release date, the show’s official Twitter account posted the first official image from the series:

Danny is still bearded and somewhat homeless looking, of course, but he’s also about to punch a guy in a room filled with other punched guys lying on the floor. Maybe everyone in the scene preferred the hero’s “closed fist” to his “open heart.”
