Is Jason Momoa returning to Game of Thrones? It’s a question many fans of the actor have been asking, and one the Aquaman and Justice League star seems to enjoy teasing as well. Unfortunately, Jason’s character Khal Drogo (spoiler alert) died at the end of season one, making it a little difficult for him to show back up in seasons seven or eight. But hey, in a world full of magic and undead creatures, you never know, right?
The latest Momoa Game of Thrones tease may simply be fans teasing themselves by reading into a mysteriously worded Instagram posted over the weekend. “There’s to many people to thank for all their hard work [on Justice League]. Tonight is our wrap party,” Jason wrote. “I am so thankful for my cast and crew. I love you. I have never in my life missed a wrap party, as you all know I’m a huge fan of the food and merriment!!!! Unfortunately I prepare for the north.”
Prepare for the north? The north is a region in Westeros … Northern Ireland is a filming location for Game of Thrones … Ergo, Jason Momoa returns for Game of Thrones as Khal Drogo 1000% confirmed! Okay, maybe not. But Game of Thrones does happen to be busy filming season seven right now, and if Khal Drogo were to return in a dream or vision (as he has a couple of times in the books), now would be a good time for Momoa to trade in his Aquaman tights for some Dothraki leathers.
