Kevin Spacey Stopped In The Middle Of A Play To Yell About A Ringing Cellphone

Clearly it’s rude to bring a cellphone to any public performance. I can forgive a bit at a concert or something, but I can’t imagine even having a phone turned on during a play. Some of these folks should have the Casino treatment, but Kevin Spacey showed a little more restraint when dealing with a rude patron during his performance in Clarence Darrow. From The Independent:

Spacey was acting out a scene in which Darrow makes a passionate plea for his innocence – when a ringing phone interrupted him.

The music got louder and louder as the guilty party tried to look innocent.

Keeping in character, Spacey finally snapped and said: “If you don’t answer that, I will!”

The audience then gave him a round of applause.

The 54-year-old played the character at the Old Vic in Inherit the Wind in 2009, as well as in the 1991 PBS film Darrow.

What the coverage didn’t include is what happened after the performance. That will probably be the last phone call that person ever receives, proving you don’t f*ck with Kevin Spacey. He a master of deception and he can play anyone. Could he be the perfect murderer? Check out our in-depth investigation in the coming weeks.
