Let’s Talk Thursday’s Geeky TV: ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Masters Time

Last week’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow pretty much spent its entire running time kicking Rip Hunter in the emotional teeth. So, Rip’s out to return the favor, with interest, as he breaks with the Time Masters completely.

Because Legends of Tomorrow is a new movie every week, last week we delved into the paranoid thriller genre, with Vandal Savage manipulating the team into turning on each other before the greatest betrayal, where it turns out that Savage is working with the Time Masters and Rip and company have been manipulated into more or less doing his bidding. You can guess how that particular revelation went over. Now Rip’s intending to live up to his name and then some, and is planning to destroy the Time Masters from the inside.

Meanwhile, Sara has command of the Waverider and is coming to save Rip’s behind, while Captain Cold is apparently going to fully commit to this “hero” thing. One thing we hope this show doesn’t do is take the obvious out “realigning the time stream” or what have you and putting everything back to the way it was before the show started. Wentworth Miller’s arc from hard-edged villain to sorta anti-hero has been fun, for example, and it’d be a shame to wipe that all away. The season finale is next week, and don’t forget, season two is on the way. We’ll see just where it’s going tonight at 8PM EST on the CW. Join us, won’t you?
