UPROXX Live Q&A With ‘Veep’ Star And UCB Co-Founder Matt Walsh

Even if you don’t watch HBO’s Veep — and if you’re not, WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU? — you’re probably already familiar with Matt Walsh. He’s one of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade guys who you will find in practically every comedy, from Community to Children’s Hospital to Reno 911!, Party Down and Outsourced.

Walsh plays Mike McLintock, the press secretary to the first female vice president, on HBO’s Veep now in its second season, airing Sundays at 10pm. Along with Amy Poehler, he is also the co-founder of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre with venues in NY and LA. You can listen to his Chicago Bears football podcast the “Bear Down” here. Last year, Walsh made his feature directorial debut High Road starring Ed Helms, Abby Elliott, Horatio Sanz, and Lizzy Caplan.

He’s here today to answer all your questions about Veep, his UCB days, and anything else you want to ask him. The discussion is scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM ET and will go for about an hour. Please begin your questions with “@Matt” to keep things organized. We’ll be opening the thread up a couple hours ahead of time with the goal of getting to the questions in the order they are submitted.
