Meanwhile, There Might Be A ’19 Kids And Counting’ Spinoff Series

As Josh Duggar’s child molestation cover-up continues to bob above the surface of the 24-hour news cycle, TLC has a lot on its plate. Never mind the Duggar family’s poor handling of an even poorer situation — the network pulled the family’s popular 19 Kids and Counting reality show from its otherwise diverse schedule. (Yet they haven’t canceled it.) With such an obvious gap in its programming, what’s the cable network launched by NASA to do?

Create a 19 Kids and Counting spinoff series, that’s what. According to Deadline, this is seriously one of the alternatives TLC is considering at the moment:

Last October, a series-record average of 4.4 million people tuned in to see 19 Kids And Counting’s crazy-in-love virgins, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard get hitched — and perform their very first kiss and first fully sanctioned frontal hug. TLC was the No. 1 cable network of the night in total viewers and among all key women demos (3 rating with women 25-54 and women 18-49). The episode was the network’s most-viewed telecast in four years. Not surprisingly, Jill and Derick are part of the spinoff being discussed.

Considering the growing distaste for all things Duggar at the moment, the likelihood of such a maneuver remains to be seen. Still, if the network decides to move forward with Jill and Derick’s spinoff show, we’ve come up with a few titles they could use (free of charge, of course):

  • Neither of Us is Named Josh Duggar
  • Who’s This ‘Josh’ You Speak Of?
  • We Tell The Arkansas State Troopers Everything
  • We’re The Dillards! No Duggars Here.
  • 0 Kids and Abstaining
