Animator Dillon Markey had a problem. During a rather large shot for Robot Chicken, Markey realized he was wasting too much time moving from one side of the stage to the other. To fix his practical conundrum, he did what any other grown man playing with posable dolls would do – he grabbed his trusty Nintendo Power Glove.
Markey modified the classic commercial failure with a new circuit board, Bluetooth, and a few other modern technological innovations. The result? A wearable, mobile control for animators to use during complex shots. After all these years, someone finally found a way to justify Lucas’s love for the Power Glove.
