Steve Martin – legend. Stephen Colbert – legend. The Legendary Steves are experts in a few things in life; making people laugh and friendship. So when Colbert is trying to recover from a head cold and the hustle and bustle of the showbiz grind in a forest, it’s nice to see Steve Martin emerge from the bush with a banjo in hand, ready to sing. It’s clear that at this point in time, the only way they can truly express themselves is through song, beautiful song.
Two best friends sittin’ in a forest, two best friends sittin’ on a log. Two best friends singin’ a friend song, two best friends who always get along…
Of course, just because they’re singing a song about friends, it doesn’t mean they’re friends with each other. You can sing a love song with someone and not be in love. Gary is who really matters here. Gary, Steve Martin’s best friend and arguably one of the best people in the world. Gary is great. It’s simple. Gary, Gary, Gary.
We’ve decided we want to best friends with @EdieBrickell. And Gary, of course. #LateShow #LSSC
