Earlier today Discovery Channel released some bare bones information about Shark Week 2014. The facts are as follows:
- It will debut August 10.
- There will be a Shark After Dark special every night at 11, which will feature “shark experts and celebrity guests” discussing the evening’s events. You may remember Shark After Dark from last year, when Tara Reid showed up in the middle of the Sharknado craze and proceeded to go on an insane, marvelous rant about whale sharks that started with the phrase “I learned a little education on sharks” and only got better from there. I hope they let her host the whole damn thing this year.
- There will be yet another Air Jaws special, because Shark Week ain’t Shark Week without flying sharks.
Also, there’s this.
Discovery is also teasing a closer look at two types of unusual sharks — mutant sharks and sharks that glow in the dark — as well as Hawaiian Tiger sharks and a glimpse into a scary breed lurking on the Florida coastline.
Sharks should not be allowed to glow or be mutants, imo.
