The freshman season of The CW’s The Flash has been one amazing episode after another filled with memorable characters and moments. One of the most memorable was of course that of a Prison Break reunion in the form of a Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller team-up. Given this, it was a bit disheartening, when the cast of the upcoming Arrow/Flash spin-off was announced, to see that only Miller had been signed on. As it turns out, that was only a tease.
From Deadline:
The new Flash villainous duo of Captain Cold/Heat Wave will be staying intact as Dominic Purcell has joined Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller, Victor Garber and Caity Lotz in the superhero team-up show from Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim.
Over the weekend at PaleyFest, it was said that the writers are looking to see what actors they can lock in before committing to major arcs. Chances are good that they always wanted to keep Cold and Heat together, but couldn’t confirm Purcell until his deal was done. Thankfully, the only thing left to hope for is Captain Cold and Heat Wave running into the one and only Tockman at some point for some real Prison Break feels.
